Privacy
The converter doesn’t keep what you paste into it. The launch list keeps only your email and what you asked to hear about. A self-hosted dashboard runs on your own machine, so its servers, keys and deployments never reach us.
The converter on poddrop.dev
When you convert a file, the compose text and any variables you typed are sent to our server, piped through the converter in memory, and returned to you. We don't write them to disk, log them, or keep a copy.
To keep the service usable we rate-limit by IP address. Those addresses are held in memory for a few minutes and are never written down or shared. There are no analytics scripts, advertising trackers or third-party cookies on poddrop.dev.
The launch list and Cloud waitlist
If you leave your email we keep the address, the server count you picked (if any), whether you asked to hear about Poddrop Cloud, and the date. We use them for one thing: telling you when Poddrop launches and, if you asked, when Cloud opens and what it will cost. No newsletter, and we never sell or share the list. Email [email protected] and we'll delete your entry.
The dashboard you run yourself
The Poddrop dashboard is software you install. Everything it stores lives in one SQLite file on your machine: your account, your servers, encrypted SSH keys, pinned host keys and deployment history. None of it is sent to Sprigworks, and the dashboard has no telemetry.
- SSH private keys are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, keyed by your
ENCRYPTION_SECRET. - Account passwords are hashed with scrypt.
- If you configure email through Resend, password-reset and verification emails go through Resend under their privacy policy. Nothing else leaves your machine.
Because the data is yours, you control how long it's kept and who can see it.
Changes
If this ever changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top before it takes effect.
